Ever tried to take a picture of the full moon and all you get is this big glowing ball?

Above is what you get if you just shoot with your camera's regular settings.

But if you set the camera to manual and use an aperture of anywhere from f/5.6 to f/11 and a shutter speed of about 1/200 of a second you can get see the moon's detail.

In this shot I used a flash to make the house/patio show up in the picture and the same manual settings made the detail of the moon show.
